Rod Teggelove is a Director of Rodine Australia and its founding General Manager. A key motivation for Rod in establishing Rodine was to provide a diverse offering to clients that could deliver innovative and challenging projects with unequalled professionalism.
Before co-founding Rodine, Rod had considerable experience in construction, most notably as the Project Manager and Coordinator of the design and fitout of new retail outlets in Melbourne Central and the redevelopment of Eastland in the early 2000s. He also ran a landscaping business for seven years in Western Australia, where he obtained his formal qualification; Bachelor of Applied Science Construction and Economics (Honors).
Of the many successful projects Rod has personally managed, his highlight is the installation of a façade at TAG Heuer on the corner Market & Pitt Streets in Sydney. This involved a challenging implementation of an iconic and unconventional design in the busiest part of Sydney. As the Tag Heuer build was during the major redevelopment of the surrounding shopping centre, the ability to coordinate with major stakeholders was valued. This project was an early demonstration of Rodine’s strengths: a service promise, understanding client needs, and confidence in delivery.
Having stepped back from the General Manager role, Rod’s focus is managing and develping strategic partnerships. He also has responsibility for staff professional development. Rod’s vast knowledge of the many different roles within the construction industry helps him build successful teams consisting of the many interdependent professionals involved in construction.
Beyond the construction business, Rod enjoys challenges of a different kind, including hiking the Kokoda Track & Larapinta Trail. He is also a passionate Kangaroos supporter in the AFL.
